Support the living artists, dead ones are already worm food.

As we move into the holiday season and shopping sprees that push the big corporations into the black. Don't forget about the little guy, especially the artists. If you truly love someone get them something hand made, something original, something not found in a big box store or on everyone else's shelves.

Putting my money where my mouth I went and visited a fellow potter, Brian Nettles. He was having his 19th annual home sale at Nettles Studio in Pass Christian and had new works fresh from the salt kiln on display. I had gone to search for a gift for a friend and had to just add this one to to my personal collection of mugs.

It is a just a fantastic piece and a joy to sip hold while sipping my coffee.

So go support the living artists as the dead ones are worm food.
